Brendan Penny...

Brendan started his performing life at the age of 8 when he joined the Victorian Children’s Choir.  Several years later and after advancing many levels, he decided it was time to move on with the timely dropping of his balls.

Brendan has shown a keen interest in film and television from an early age, becoming engrossed in action and special effects films when he first saw the breathtaking imagery and special effects magic of Jurassic Park.

Throughout high school Brendan excelled in Media Studies and Computer Graphics Art and Design - pushing the envelope with his various short films and techniques for which he received many accolades.

Brendan enjoys work both in front and behind the camera, being featured as an extra in Troll Bridge and receiving parts in many other short films and music videos.  Brendan’s main arena however has always lain in the realm behind the camera, being involved at various points as a runner, grip, in practical FX, make up, but primarily in post production FX work.

Prior to Brendan’s first short film Troll Bridge, Brendan directed and completed all FX work on SWK-Busters.  This project lent him the experience required to manage and complete rotoscoping work on over 100 shots on Troll Bridge.  Brendan is also venturing into the realm of 3D modeling and graphics to further his skills and abilities in his FX work on future Snowgum and independent projects.
