Dale Bamford...

Dale Bamford"They call me bad.  Mad caliban with manners dangerous to know, a passing fad, taught in all debauch, in excess and in canto."

The pagan relic of an ancient past.  It was perhaps for the good of mankind that this dark soul was born in this time and age, otherwise we would probably have another Vlad the Impaler on our hands!

Dale was born on the 16th of April in the year 1983 EH.  Even at an early age the wind whispered tales of a forgotten time and lands afar into the ear of this often radical lads ear.

Being a child of the 80's, Dale was exposed to numerous events and imagery that is the focal point of his artistic endeavours and desires he now pursues.  Back when the likes of The Neverending Story, Metal and Horror were gods, Dale perceived the world in a most different and often frightening way.

The Dark artist began drawing his own ideas of the world as soon as his infant body would allow him to conjure up the imagery that had plagued his already troubled mind.

His main focus was pencil drawing which remains to this day his favourite personal art medium however he felt a longing, a longing that would see him begin to construct his ideas in the 3rd dimension.  Pretty soon he
had demons and vampires and other fantastical creatures evolving out of plasticene and papier-mâché.  He continued his artistic endeavours, trying to recreate the visions he was burdened with.  He began writing at the age of ten, speaking of creatures and heroes of faraway lands, and those that are frighteningly close to us all.  Still, an unsung lyric was yet to be heard.  Dale's love for film was growing ever evident as his chosen art medium.  "I can speak in tongues on paper that will give you but an idea of the inner truths and world events that I wish to convey, but with film, my poor dears... I can show you.  My only regret is that you cannot feel it".

Dale Bamford - The Morning AfterDale has recently moved to Melbourne where his girlfriend and fellow artist Emily McGregor to begin the long and gruelling process that is Filmmaking.  His main focus is his own stories and ideas, though his keen passion is also in prosthetic makeup and Special FX.  Dubbing himself "Gore Technician", Dale has worked on quite a few short films doing SFX and prosthetics.  His SFX debut was on the legendary The Morning After.  Being covered in so much blood was one of the most enjoyable and natural feelings he claims he has ever had.

He is currently in the process of completing his directional debut and bringing his fledgling companies Nightshade FX and Wolfsbane Films to un-death.

"Fear not the wind from the north, for it is my cold breath tracing the curves of your skin.  And know that all pain here, comes to an end".
