Daniel Yun...

Daniel YunDaniel Yun began tapping into the world of imagination with comic art, heavily influenced by Astroboy, He-man and Thundercats at a young age.  When he realised he was too lazy to draw panels and panels of art, he decided to make it come to life through a camera!

So moving from the world of paper to video, he has tried to convey stories of fantasy and imaginative construction through the lens of a camera to make art come to life.

Daniel’s first real attempt at something imaginative from his head was Dragon Noodle – a day in the life of a martial artist delivery boy in a fantasy ‘God of cookery’ world.  He then attempted a more heart felt approach by making a short fantasy Christmas piece called Mecha. Liking the production and character design aspect, in 2006 – Daniel tried to fuse fantasy and design into a short movie called The Macabre Opera of Elysium Grove – which was a mixture of action / horror / fantasy... and a little tiny romance.

Daniel Yun - Run Rincewind Run!Daniel is always trying something new, mostly because he gets bored easily, so genre and camera style jumping is always a go!  He is developing a verita camera style called ‘Frenetic’ – which is a liveley camera style capturing the world as it with deliberate camera movement to encapsulate the movent and it’s emotions.

Daniel likes to direct, shoot and edit...  forming his own production company, Fire Monkey Productions to burn out the lingering ideas that torment his hyper active mind.
