John Jenkins...

John started his acting career some 15 years ago in the ACT.  He was given a small role in Jeffery Archer's Beyond Reasonable Doubt.  It was that small role which caused John to be bitten by the bug.  Going on to perform in over 30 productions, his greatest talent he feels is his versatility.  He has played roles ranging from the ridiculously funny to the heart rending tearjerkers.  John's love for acting soon evolved into an almost equal love of directing, with his years of stage experience he wanted to bring this knowledge onto the other side of the stage.  Being in total control of the action is what gives John the most rush... the terror however increased.  As an actor you are terrified of forgetting your lines - as a director you are terrified of everyone forgetting their lines.  But the buzz is well worth it when the audience applaud at the end.

In 2003 John started Shoestring Theatre Company.  A company which has dedicated itself to producing the highest quality shows on just a shoestring budget.  Shoestring is now becoming a household name in the ranks of the theatre public and peers.

Theatre is not however his greatest passion.  Film has held a fascination for John for as long as he can remember.  Having appeared in numerous short films and TV commercials he just loves being in front of that camera.
