As a 40 year old native, living near Frankfurt / Germany - working as a software developer for an insurance company isn't too exciting at all.

Maybe that's why he fell in love scifi and fantasy so much.  But his first contact with the Discworld was not too enthusiastic.  After reading Die Farben der Magie (the German translation for The Colour Of Magic) about twenty odd years ago, he found it all rather confusing and not at all very funny.

A few years later he stumbled across the English original, gave it another chance (hadn't much to read at that time) and...

...was lost to the Discworld.

Now he devours every Discworld book that Terry Pratchett happens to release (in English of course), and hopes he will keep on feeding him for a lot of years to come!

Although his experience as a professional translator is limited to translating software manuals and answering support calls from international colleagues, he hopes he will not disappoint the german speaking audience too much...
