Terry Pratchett...

Terry Pratchett is one of Britain's most popular writers for adult literature.   Best known for his Discworld books (which began as parodies of the fantasy genre - but now go far beyond that), he is constantly winning awards and sitting atop Best-Selling lists.  He was appointed OBE in 1998.

Terry Pratchett has written over thirty works set in the Discworld, and has just recently begun (well, within the last couple of years) to write Discworld books for younger readers.

Since 1991, his novels have been regularly adapted and performed on the stage and across the globe.   As well as published scripts, he also has maps, diaries, calendars, a cook book, and several computer games under the Discworld's ever expanding belt.
