Wayne Robinson...

Wayne Robinson started re-enacting sometime shortly after the fall of the Roman Empire, and is still trying to get it right.

Mild-mannered IT Infrastructure Consultant and Trouble Maker, a member at different times (and occasionally, founder) of more re-enactment groups than can possibly be healthy, he currently exercises his tendencies for 17th Century Spellynge as a member of The Pike and Musket Society.  His duties include Theological Consultant, Public Officer and Standing Member of the Bucket Committee whilst he quietly draws up his evil plans to turn the group into The Pike and Longbow Society.

Described in the Addendum of that seminal 1993 work, The Routier Cyclopaedia, as "genial" and "omniscient", he brings an engineering approach to re-enactment. While this generally involves an understanding of the materials and techniques of our forebears, the specifics more often tend to involve the application of larger hammers and rude words.

Wayne RobinsonWayne was once recognised by Terry Pratchett at a book signing in Sydney, and greeted with "Oh, gods!  You're that one".

Acting highlights include Day in the Life of a Roman Soldier by Crawford in 1987, Live and Sweaty (1992), Empire for Computer Associates (2002), commanded the second block of rebel convicts at the Vinegar Hill Colonial Re-enactment in 2004 and most recently, as a costumed extra in Episode 351 of All Saints in 2006.  Armouring credits include The Munster's Scary Little Christmas (1996), Nintendo's Decisions (2000) and Empire (2002).
